Motorcyclist injured in hit and run; driver sought

Authorities in Ocoee are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run incident on Sunday morning.

Officers said, around 5:30 a.m., a Jeep Wrangler traveling southbound on Ocoee Apopka Road attempted to turn left (eastbound) onto West Road in front of the victim’s motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to strike the passenger side of the Jeep Wrangler.

After briefly stopping, the Jeep Wrangler fled the scene eastbound on West Road towards S.R. 429. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries. 

The Jeep Wrangler is described as black with a black top or dark blue body with black top. The Jeep should have damage along the passenger side; primarily front passenger door area. The Jeep has a lift kit with 33”-35” tires; not stock but not “big mud” tires either. The tire rims are black, unknown if any markings or attachments in center of rim. The Jeep appeared clean and well maintained.
