PALM COAST, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Shoppers we spoke to at a Bealls Clothing store in Port Orange, were shocked to hear the allegations against Christy Cherock, a Palm Coast mother, accused of shoplifting with her two children in toe.
"Oh my God, that's horrible," a surprised shopper tells FOX 35.
A police report says Cherock and her 15-year-old daughter stole almost $400 worth of merchandise from the store on Nova Road. Once caught, police say they found meth on Cherock's body during a pat down and found marijuana on her teenage daughter.
"For a mother to want to participate in doing that with her child is totally beyond me," another shopper said.
Cherock was booked into the Volusia county jail and given a $8,000 bond.
