Meet the Boy who was Blessed by Pope Francis in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - One of the Pope's first actions when he arrived in Philadelphia has already gone viral.
After landing, Pope Francis began heading toward the Cathedral of Saint Peter and Paul in his Fiat.
Before he could even leave the tarmac, the Holy Father asked his driver to stop the car. Pope Francis then exited his car to bless a young boy.
That boy's name is Michael Keating. The ten year old twin who suffers from Cerebral Palsy.
Michael came to greet Pope Francis with his mother Kiristen, twin brother Chris, sister Katie, and his father Chuck.
Chuck Keating is the Director of Fine Arts at Bishop Shanahan High School, where he leads the school's band.
The band was selected to greet Pope Francis when he landed at the Philadelphia International Airport.
The family told FOX 29's Steve Keeley that they had their doubts that they would be greeted by the Pope.
Luckily, Pope Francis spotted them, and blessed young Michael.
