A Florida school board member has stirred controversy following Facebook posts stating that men are being destroyed by "whores" and defending Bill Cosby, who was recently convicted of rape.

Now, some in the community are calling for Nancy Stacy resign.  Angered residents expressed their concerns during Tuesday's meeting, a day after she posted, "Tired of WHORES destroying men! Set Bill Cosby free, says 'Mama Bear' with sons!"  Prior to public comment, Marion County School Board Chair Beth McCall also addressed the post.

"I too [am] personally angered and appalled at the repulsive, degrading, and insensitive comments befitting a public official," she said.

The Ocala Star-Banner reported that Stacy then wrote, "I do not consider a whore to be a victim of rapes. They go to a motel with a rich man with hopes of getting preg so they can rape him financially for 18 years."

"For the children that would read that -- or any victim of sexual assault, or any type of assault --  to feel like it's their fault... that concerns me, as a leader in our community," said Ocala City Council President Matt Wardell.

Stacy later wrote her goal was "to suck evil venomous PROGRESSIVE liberals" into a trap and make them angry.

We are told that Governor Rick Scott has the authority to remove a school board member from office.  Stacy has said she would not resign.
