Man thanks Seminole County firefighters for life-saving water rescue

ORLANDO, Fla. - A Seminole County man personally thanked the firefighters who saved his life after a near-drowning incident in Lake Harney on Saturday, Jan. 25.
What we know:
Dan Watson visited Seminole County Fire Department’s Station 42 in Geneva to express his gratitude to the crew who responded to the emergency.
The backstory:
Watson was thrown from his boat in the Lake Harney and Jolly Gator area, facing frigid water temperatures in the 50s and strong winds.

A Good Samaritan from the Oviedo Fire Department pulled Watson from the water before Seminole County’s Airboat 42 arrived on the scene. The crew quickly provided life-saving assistance and transported Watson to safety.
Watson posed for a photo with his rescuers, including Firefighter Shane Degler, Firefighter/Paramedic Glenn Siracusa, Engineer/Paramedic Johnny Scott and Firefighter John Robinson.

The Seminole County Fire Department shared the reunion on its Facebook page.
