Man arrested after kidnapping 16-year-old girl
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Deputies say they arrested a kidnapping suspect that allegedly grabbed a teenage girl and took her to his home. The 16-year-old was kidnapped by a man while simply walking outside.
Investigators say that 57-year-old Robert Dishman approached the girl on an ATV, yelling at her to get on the ATV. He then grabbed her and pulled her on. It is reported that she knew the man had guns and knives, so she did not try to run away.
According to deputies, Dishman then took her to his house and drove off with her in a Gray Lincoln town car. Air one tracked him down, guiding ground units to pull him over.
The teen was said to be scared and shaken, but not injured. Dishman was immediately cuffed and taken into custody.
