Man arrested after camper chase ends in Osceola County

A man was arrested Friday after allegedly leading deputies on a chase in a camper that ended in a residential neighborhood in Osceola County, authorities said.

A Kissimmee man was arrested Friday night after allegedly leading Osceola County deputies on a chase in a motorhome that ended when the vehicle crashed into a tree in a residential neighborhood, authorities said.

Timeline:

According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, a deputy spotted a white Winnie RV driving erratically on E. Osceola Parkway near Michigan Avenue around 9:14 p.m. When deputies attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over. A tire deflation device was deployed, but the RV continued fleeing.

During the pursuit, investigators said the driver struck two vehicles, injuring some occupants, before crashing into a tree in the front yard of a home on Berkshire Circle. The driver then fled on foot but was quickly detained.

What we know:

The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Louis Anthony Robles of Kissimmee. Deputies said they found drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession and determined he was driving with a revoked license.

Robles faces multiple charges, including DUI, fleeing to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, leaving the scene of crashes with injuries, and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
