SANFORD, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Lightning struck the runway overnight at the Sanford International Airport.
Officials say the strike left a hole in the runway, but it was repaired and reopened by 9 p.m. last night.
They also said that three flights were diverted to Saint Petersburg, Florida.
