K9 Endo helps Volusia deputies catch two armed robbery suspects

Two men suspected of robbing a 7-11 convenience store at gunpoint weren't on the run for long thanks in part to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office K9 Kendo.

Deputies were called to the store at 170 N. Nova Road in Ormond Beach on Wednesday night after receiving a call about an armed robbery. When they arrived, they say the store clerk told them that two men wearing masks pulled out a gun and took money from the register.

The Sheriff's Office says when deputies, along with an Ormond Beach detective, tried stopping the getaway vehicle, the suspects sped up and eluded them. Authorities say the suspects vehicle ended up crashing in Bunnell and they took off on foot.

Video posted by the Sheriff's Office on Twitter shows deputies and K9 Endo searching for the suspects through the woods. Endo is seen finding one of the suspects and chomping down until deputies can make an arrest.

Jamier Scott, 29, and Darryl Duffy, 29, were both arrested at the scene.
