AVON PARK, Fla. (FOX 13) - Investigators say they have found the body of a woman missing since Monday from Avon Park.
The Highlands County Sheriff's Office said 23-year-old Khadijah Anderson told her mother on Monday she would be heading to Lakeland the next day to visit family. Anderson never arrived.
Her car was found abandoned Wednesday by an outlet mall in Indian River County.
Deputies said the vehicle was unlocked and its keys were found inside.
Investigators on Sunday said her body had also been found in Indian River County, and a death investigation is now underway.
