I-95 crash involving 2 semis causes traffic backups in Volusia County

A crash on Interstate 95 in Ormond Beach caused major backups in Volusia County on Tuesday morning.

What we know:

A semi-truck with a trailer was traveling northbound on I-95 when its driver veered off the road and struck three light poles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn on its side.

The driver of a nearby pickup truck saw the crash and pulled over to help.

Troopers said a separate semi-truck trailer failed to stop for the overturned semi, and collided with both the semi and the pickup truck.

All drivers involved were not transported from the scene.

One of the trailers was reportedly hauling fish, but the fish did not spill onto the road, FHP said.
