Gunman sought in deadly Orlando shooting

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are searching for a suspect in the fatal shooting of an Orlando man

Deputies responded to a shots fired call with a man down at the Wood Hollow Apartments, at 5728 Kingsgate Drive, Orlando.  When deputies arrived around 2:40 p.m., they discovered the victim, identified as 18-year-old Vanel Nezius, unresponsive and witnesses were rendering aid. Nezius was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. 

Witnesses said they saw a possible suspect, described as a black man between the ages of 18 to 25, with the victim prior to hearing the gunshots. The witnesses told deputies that there was some type of disturbance in the parking lot prior to the shooting, but the motive is unknown. 

This incident prompted several school lockdown in the area off Oakridge road for safety.  

Anyone with information is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).  A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered with information that leads to an arrest.
