ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Florida Governor Rick Scott announced on Monday that his campaign for U.S. Senate is now endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
He says that members of the NFIB recognized his dedication to cutting taxes, reducing burdensome regulations, and making it easier for businesses to succeed and create new jobs for families across the state.
Governor Scott commented on the endorsement, saying “As U.S. Senator, I’ll work every day to build on Florida’s incredible economic success and share the importance of cutting taxes and supporting business growth with the rest of the country. I am proud to receive the endorsement of NFIB today and I look forward to continuing to work together with Florida job creators to reform Washington.”
The President and CEO of NFIB commented as well, saying "Governor Scott has demonstrated an incredible commitment to doing everything possible to make it easier for businesses to succeed and ensure continued economic growth. We need leaders like Governor Scott in Washington who know the value of hard work and are committed to fostering small business success."
The NFIB is composed of nearly 10,000 small and independent business owners in Florida.
