ORLANDO, Fla. - Oviedo police arrested a former middle school teacher who is accused of sexual battery of a minor following an investigation into allegations involving a student.
Daniel Le Lievre, 41, was taken into custody on Monday.
The backstory:
Detectives said they determined the alleged offenses occurred between 2023 and 2024 while he worked at Tuskawilla Middle School.
As a result of the investigation, Le Lievre has been charged with sexual battery on a victim between the ages of 12 and 18, and offenses against students by an authority figure. He was booked into the Seminole County Jail.

School officials said Le Lievre was placed on administrative leave in April 2024 over allegations of inappropriate conduct, later resigning in lieu of termination and is not eligible for rehire.

"The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and any type of behavior that undermines that safety will not be tolerated at Seminole County Public Schools," the district wrote in a statement sent to FOX 35 News.
