Florida lawmaker filing bill to legalize sports betting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - There is a new push to legalize sports betting in Florida.

Republican State Senator Jeff Brandes is filing a bill that would allow the Florida Lottery to offer tickets at self-serving kiosks.

The bill would also offer licenses for businesses to take sports bets through websites and mobile apps.

Licenses would then split their proceeds with the state.
