Florida high school debates retiring ‘Indian’ mascot

Parents, students, and teachers at Edgewood HIgh School want to ditch the Indian mascot.

There is a big mascot debate in Brevard County. Many say it's time to retire the "Indian" name at Edgewood High School in Merritt Island.

Parents, students, and teachers recently spoke out at Edgewood's School Advisory Council meeting for and against changing the school's Indian mascot. Many expressed frustration and shame.
