Firefighters respond to house on fire in downtown Sanford

SANFORD, Fla. - Fire crews are responding to a house fire in downtown Sanford Thursday evening, fire officials said. 

The Seminole County Fire Department is helping the Sanford Fire Department with a fire on Oak Avenue. 

Photos show a house on fire with flames and smoke coming out of the roof. 

It is unknown if anyone was inside the home when the fire started.
