FHP: Man dies after crashing into retention pond

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A dive team searched the water for survivors, after a car crashed into a pond on Friday night. 

The Florida Highway Patrol and the Orange County Sheriff's Office responded after reports that a man lost control of his car, hitting a bus stop area, before ending up in a retention pond.   The crash occurred on Isle of Wright Drive at Black Heath Circle around 8:50 p.m.

The vehicle became completely submerged. Troopers said the adult male driver was taken to Florida Hospital Kissimmee and died.  The crash victim was later identified as Luis Morales.
