The family of a man ambushed and killed on Sunday morning says he was murdered in cold blood after being lured to his semi-truck parked along Marden Road.

Friends and family remember 47-year-old Elias Bratcher, whom deputies say was shot to death, as authorities continues to search for the killer.

Naim Mustafa says his brother was ambushed, after getting a call at 3 o'clock early Sunday morning.

"It was someone pretending to be the police and say, 'Hey your truck is open, come out.' So that's what he did," he said. "They shot him and killed him for no reason. He didn't even have a chance to defend himself. He didn't even have a chance to get out of the vehicle and they murdered him."

The car window riddled with bullet holes.

"It has us really baffled to understand what happened and why it happened," Mustafa added.

The family is asking neighbors by Marden Road and Marden Meadows Drive to check for any surveillance they may have on Sunday,  between 3 o'clock to 4:30 in the morning.

"He didn't deserve to be gunned down like this and the family's just devastated," Mustafa said.

Bratcher leaves behind a wife and two sons.   A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
