If you don't believe in wishes, you will today. A 5-year-old Maryland girl will have the day of her dreams today in D.C.-- and at the end, her big wish will come true on what we're calling Eden's Unicorn Wish!

FOX 5 DC and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic joined forces to grant this wish for Eden, who is from Upper Marlboro, Md. Her wish? To meet and ride a unicorn.

EDEN'S JOURNEY
Eden has been through a lot, even though she's only 5. She was diagnosed with brain cancer, and is now in remission! To celebrate, we thought there would be nothing more perfect than granting her wish.

Live on FOX 5, Eden's dad told us about their journey, which started last December-- almost a year to the day from her wish day. Eden had a seizure when she was on her way home from a friend's birthday party, and of course, her family took her to be checked out. She was okay after that, but about two weeks later, she suffered another seizure.

Many tests later, doctors told the family Eden had a brain tumor. She had surgery on Christmas Eve, and after that, she went through 42 days of radiation, and four months of chemotherapy. But in September, doctors told Eden and her family she was in remission-- the best news a dad could possibly hear.

Eden's father said their family is beyond grateful for all the support they've received, and through it all, they've kept the faith and kept believing.

WISH DAY ADVENTURE
What is her wish day like? Well, she's on a fairy-tale scavenger hunt all over D.C. We've got some BIG stops planned for Eden and her family.

Eden's day started early-- when a limousine picked her up at her house! FOX 5's Bob Barnard was there when she came to the door and realized what was happening. That limo carried Eden and her family, including her big sister Sade and their baby brother, to FOX 5 where the princess adventure began!

Eden and her sister were welcomed inside-- to their very own princess room. The FOX 5 green room was turned pink, thanks to Sparkle Pink Princess. Eden and her sister were also dressed up like princesses-- and so were FOX 5's own Allison Seymour, Erin Como, Sue Palka and Caitlin Roth (thanks to Style Me Bar)! Eden also got the chance to watch some princess movies with Kevin McCarthy, and then she was off to her first stop...

The Washington Ballet! Eden and her sister got a lesson from the ballerinas, and she even got her very own toe shoes! Then she was off to somewhere even bigger: The White House!

Once inside, Eden and her family met DOTUS-- also known as first dogs Bo and Sunny Obama! They brought Eden her next clue-- and she also got a few surprise gifts from the President himself.

After the White House, it was on to a very special princess tea party with the Three Bears, and a nap -- at the Hyatt Washington.

Eden then met Glinda the Good Witch of the North -- who is really FOX 5's Sue Palka -- at the American History Museum. Along with Glinda waiting for Eden were Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow!

Rapunzel awaited Eden with the final clue at the Smithsonian "Castle."

Then Eden finally arrived at the Verizon Center where her wish to meet and ride a unicorn came true!
