Driver sentenced in fatal hit-and-run

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - An Orange County judge sentenced Kila Holland to one year in prison and ten years of probation for leaving the scene of a crash that killed a 17-year-old girl and seriously injured her brother.

Melanie and Travis Luque-Exposito were riding a bike on East Colonial Drive in December 2013 when Holland struck them and left the scene.

Holland eventually pled guilty to leaving the scene of a fatal crash after a lengthy investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol, which revealed that Holland wasn’t at fault in the collision.
