Deputies need help identifying woman accused of car break-ins, fraud

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect or suspects accused of several car break-ins and trying to cash stolen checks from victims.

Deputies say the break-ins happened in the early hours of March 13 in Volusia County. Several areas were hit including:

  •  Valentine Park, 1595 W. French Ave., Orange City;
  • Earl Brown Park and Sanborn Center, 815 S. Alabama Ave., DeLand;
  • Chipper Jones Baseball Park , 403 S. Alabama Ave.;
  • Moose Lodge, 614 S. Alabama Ave.

Authorities believe at least one female suspect was spotted at local banks on security video.

Deputies say after the break-ins, two days later on March 15, a female suspect tried to cash a check using stolen I.D. at the Space Coast Credit Union on Enterprise Road in Orange City. Two employees said that the woman came through the drive-thru and was driving a newer-model, white Infiniti SUV.

When she presented an I.D. that belonged to someone else, they called police and the woman took off.

According to a news release, police said the same suspect has been using the victim’s information in fraud incidents at TD Bank branches in Winter Park and Orlando  During those incidents, the suspect was driving a Chevrolet Volt with a stolen FL tag #Y82RYQ.

It's unclear whether the female suspect in both photos is the same person.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
