Deputies: Human remains found near Ormond Beach

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a hunter discovered human remains in a wooded area near Ormond Beach.

Deputies were called out to the area off Broadway Avenue and Atlantic Road around 5:04 p.m. on Friday after the hunter found what appeared to be human bones.

The Sheriff's Office Major Case Unit is investigating, and no additional information is available at this time.
