ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says that a car crashed into an Orange County home this morning.
FHP says that a vehicle was traveling west on High Lake Drive when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and traveled into the yard of a home on High Lake Drive.
The vehicle reportedly continued westbound and traveled into the front of the house and through a wall.
FHP went on to say that a person was sitting at the kitchen table when she was struck by the vehicle and pinned in the kitchen until first responders removed her.
The vehicle was also trapped until removed by fire rescue.
The driver of the vehicle has been ticketed for careless driving and has been recommended for driver re-evaluation, reports FHP.
They also say that the person who was struck by the vehicle is in the hospital with serious injuries.
