BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A new program to keep kids safe in school is getting ready to launch in Brevard County.
Starting next week, more than two dozen armed security guards will be sent to elementary schools in the county as part of the school guardian program.
Sheriff Wayne Ivey says that 27 program graduates have completed hundreds of hours of police and military training.
