Brevard County approves measure that guards against illegal immigrants working

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Brevard County commissioners just approved a measure that will guard against illegal immigrants working on county contracts.

Florida Today reports that after a unanimous vote, contractors wil now be required to enroll in the e-verify program. Officials say this is a way to 'ensure compliance with federal immigration laws.'

Brevard County already has this requirement in place for work done using state and federal money.
