Arrest made in fatal Osceola hit and run
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - A man has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Tuesday afternoon.
Jaweed Sadaqat, 70, of Celebration, is accused of leaving the scene of a crash, after hitting a motorcycle driven by Luis Del Valle Rosado, 32, of Kissimmee.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Sadaqat was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 192 in Osceola County, near Diplomat Circle . Troopers said Sadaqat turned into the path of Rosado, who was traveling from the opposite direction on U.S. 192.
Rosado was ejected from the motorcycle. Sadaqat continued on his way after briefly stopping, according investigators. Rosado was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office later located Sadaqat. He was arrested, charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
