Apparent overdose claims Volusia Co. man's life

DAYTONA BEACH (WOFL-FOX) - A 64-year-old man was found dead from an apparent drug overdose Monday afternoon.

According to a police report, Shelley Payne, found her friend, Michael Pastore, unconscious in the driver's seat of his van.

It happened in the 100 block of Taylor Avenue just before 5 p.m.

Payne told officers Pastore had been living in his van in the back of her home since being released from Drug Rehabilitation.

Pastore was transported to the Halifax Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
