Active crime scene in South Apopka
Apopka Police have blocked off a portion of South Apopka due to an active crime scene. Police have asked the public to avoid the area. It's not known what has caused the incident at this time.
APOPKA, Fla. - Two people were found dead in an Apopka business, Friday evening, police reported.
What we know:
The Apopka Police Department responded to a business on West Michael Gladden Boulevard around 9 p.m., Feb. 6 finding two people dead in the business.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths at Griffin General Store.
It's not clear whether the incident involves a homicide or possible murder suicide, Apopka Police said in a Feb. 6 press release. A medical examiner is on the scene.
The names of the deceased are not being released at this time as officers are working on notifying next-of-kin, the department said.
Police: Avoid West Michael Gladden Boulevard
The Apopka Police Department – who is investigating the incident – have blocked off the area of West Michael Gladden Boulevard from South Hawthone Avenue to South Washington Avenue.
The public is asked to avoid this area due to an active crime scene.
