Several families were displaced Tuesday evening after a fire knocked out the electricity at an Orlando apartment complex.

The flame broke out shortly after 10 p.m. at the complex on Rio Grande Ave and Americana Boulevard. The source of the fire was an electrical panel, but the cause is still under investigation.

The fire did not breach inside units, though the exterior of the building sustained some damage.

Electricity was shut off for the entire building because of the fire, therefore residents were asked to evacuate. It is unclear when residents will be able to go back. There are close to 40 units in the building.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
