OCALA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Two children and three adults had to be transported to the hospital after the vehicle they traveled in rolled over, multiple times on Interstate 75 in Ocala.
Ocala Fire Rescue was dispatched to the accident scene on southbound, near mile marker 352 and just south of U.S. Highway 27, at 2:24 PM. One patient was found on the ground, and an SUV showed signs of rollover. Bystanders were attempting to remove occupants from the SUV and a compact vehicle with minor damages.
One patient was flown to Shands Hospital, while the other four were transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A total of five patients, all occupants of the SUV, were transported to the hospital; four of the five as trauma alerts. The occupant of the second vehicle did not report any injuries.
