5 fires within 48 hours investigated as arson

EUSTIS, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - The State Fire Marshal, along with authorites in Lake County, are investigating after five fires were reported in both that county and city of Umatilla, all within a 48-hour time period.

Two of the fires were structural and included a pole barn storage building and a house. Three of the fires were cars, investigators say. The house fire occured in an unincorporated area of the county around 5:30 a.m.   An occupant of the home had gotten out safely, according to firefighters.  No one else was injured.
