10-year-old boy hacks into Florida's state election website within 10 minutes

LAS VEGAS, NV. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Reports are saying that children were able to hack a mock up of the state's election website, but Florida election officials are saying that is not true.

Multiple reports say that the hack took place during a hacking conference in Las Vegas. The reports say that an 11-year-old boy was able to get into Florida's site within 10 minutes. An 11-year-old girl did it within 15 minutes.

A spokeswoman for the Florida Department of State says that the event offers a "wholly inaccurate representation" of protections on the site.
