Time for a full-time Florida legislature?
Dr. Bob Jarvis, a law professor at Nova Southeastern University joins FOX 35's Garrett Wymer to discuss his advocacy for making Florida's current part-time legislature a full-time, year-round governing body in Tallahassee. As it stands now, Florida's State Representatives and State Senators meet only for a 60-day session, which hasn't been enough time to pass a state budget in either of the last two regular sessions under Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, House Speaker Danny Perez and Senate President Ben Albritton despite Republican supermajorities in both houses of the state legislature.
