Community steps us to save wildlife refuge from foreclosure
• In December, Samadhi Wildlife faced foreclosure despite regularly paying rent, after it was revealed that its property owner hadn't been following through on payments. The Ormond Beach community rallied and raised over $112,000. The wildlife sanctuary has now secured a new 10-acre location in Volusia County. Although Samadhi Wildlife owns the property, its land needs to be prepared before it can move in. A GoFundMe was started to support the sanctuary in its new phase of moving locations.
