Jail Kittens Help Flagler Inmates Heal

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Flagler Humane Society to introduce an innovative kitten-fostering initiative to its SMART (Successful Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Treatment) program. This rehabilitation through rescue helps inmates gain responsibility through caring for kittens.
