Police shoot man outside Orange City bank, investigation ongoing

Police shot a man outside a bank in Orange City on Tuesday afternoon after a confrontation in the parking lot, authorities said. Officers responded to reports of a man walking through the parking lot with a knife. Witnesses told police the man began stabbing himself and later pulled out a gun and fired when officers approached. Officers returned fire, striking the man, witnesses said.
