New invasive species threatens Florida agriculture
The invasive pasture mealybug, native to South Asia, has been devastating pasture grass and sugarcane crops in 15 Florida counties, as well as Texas. These mealybugs can take over an entire pasture in a a couple of weeks. FOX 35's Garrett Wymer talks to Isaac Esquivel, Assistant Professor of Entomology at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center, about what signs to look for and what you can do if you spot these agricultural pests.
