Cocoa officials give beach safety tips after 2 drown in rip current

Cocoa Beach officials shared several tips to beach safety ahead of summer after two people drowned at the beach when saving a child in a rip current. The fire chief cautioned to not panic, rather stay calm by waving your hand to notify people that you are caught in a rip current.
