Playbook Tuesday: Demings not done after ICE addendum

The Orange County Commission voted 5-2 to approve a new ICE addendum that could put Orange County Corrections staff on the hook for transporting ICE detainees to Alligator Alcatraz and similar immigration detention facilities across Florida. Mayor Jerry Demings says he doesn't agree with the move but he felt forced to sign the agreement after Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier threatened to remove the entire Board of County Commissioners if they did not ratify the agreement. POLITICO Reporter and Florida Playbook author Kimberly Leonard joins FOX 35's Garrett Wymer live via Zoom to break down the vote and discussion surrounding the ICE addendum and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings' political aspirations, where he told POLITICO he's seeking higher office, whether that be Florida Governor or a seat in Congress.
