Authorities respond to shooting involving Edgewater police officer

Police in Edgewater say one of their officers was involved in a shooting early Friday evening. Authorities were asking residents to avoid an area in the 400 block of North Riverside Drive following the incident while an investigation is underway. There is no danger to the public, according to investigators.
