Florida conservation center saves eastern indigo snakes

Eustis, Florida is home to the only captive breeding facility for the threatened Eastern Indigo Snake. It’s called the Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation (OCIC) and it’s operated by the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Orianne’s sole purpose is to release the Easter Indigo offspring into regions where the population has been extirpated. And now the center wants YOU to know about its mission. They’ll do that through an upcoming BBQ Bluegrass Festival in February.
