Mom dies following lightning strike near elementary school that also injured her child, teen

Three people, including a mother and her child, were struck by lightning in Winter Springs Thursday afternoon. The Winter Springs Police Department said the mother later passed from her injuries, though her daughter was expected to make a full recovery.
