Pulse Remembrance marks 9 years of grief, reflection

Nine years after a gunman opened fire inside Pulse nightclub, killing 49 people in what was then the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, the Orlando community came together Thursday to remember the lives lost and others whose lives were forever changed by the tragedy.

2025 Pulse Remembrance Ceremony

Nine years after the deadly mass Pulse nightclub shooting, the City of Orlando hosted its annual Pulse Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday. The ceremony included the reading of the names of the 49 victims, the tolling of 49 bells, remarks from family members and survivors, as well as musical and cultural performances.

Air India flight crashes with over 200 on board: officials

An Air India passenger plane carrying more than 200 people crashed Thursday after taking off from an airport in the Indian city of Ahmedabad. Air India flight AI 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bound for London's Gatwick Airport, crashed into a residential area called Meghani Nagar five minutes after taking off at 1:38 p.m. local time, Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, the director general of the directorate of civil aviation, told The Associated Press. There were 232 passengers and 12 crew members onboard the flight.
