'The Masked Singer': Googly Eyes is 1st to be eliminated in exciting Season 14 premiere

"The Masked Singer" returned for its 14th season on Wednesday, showcasing the newest competitors in their highly-decorated costumes. 

The two-hour season premiere kicked off with stellar performances from the parade of masked singers and an exciting elimination.

Googly Eyes is MLB champion David "Big Papi" Ortiz

David Ortiz, nicknamed "Big Papi," is a former professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic. 

Ortiz was a designated hitter and played for the Boston Red Sox until he officially retired from the sport in 2016. He’s known for his stellar home run record, even making history as one of the players with the most career multihomer games in MLB history. 

Talking about his Googly Eyes costume, Ortiz said wearing it was like a workout.

New for Season 14 of ‘The Masked Singer’

FOX Entertainment says Season 14 will be their boldest yet, packed with jaw-dropping performances and some of the most shocking celebrity reveals in the series’ history.

Season 14 will feature 18 brand-new costumes, including Eggplant, Pugcasso, Queen Corgi, and Scarab.

The new season will also introduce a lineup of all-new themed episodes, celebrating iconic fan-favorite worlds such as "Star Trek," "Clueless," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Twilight," the Spice Girls and "Care Bears."

In addition, a "Fear Factor: House of Fear Night," will feature special guest Johnny Knoxville and a special "Ozzfest Night" will honor the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne with Kelly Osbourne (formerly Ladybug).
