Teen arrested eight times this year in Orlando

An Orlando teen was arrested for the eighth time this year Sunday night, according to the Orlando Police Department.

According to a police report, Edward Gonzalez spotted the 15-year-old getting into his car, which was parked outside his home in the 5800 block of Curry Ford Road.

The arresting officer reports that when Gonzalez confronted the teen, the teen pulled a knife and ran away. A K-9 unit tracked him down nearby a short time later.

The young suspect has a record of menacing his neighborhood.

In February, he was arrested for breaking into a home in 1200 block of Hendren Dr.

He was suspected of stealing video games and scooters.

A police report from March shows that a witness saw the teen burglarize her vehicle.

That victim chose not to press charges because only a few dollars were missing.

Details on the teen’s other arrests were not available because the suspect is a juvenile and the offenses did not amount to felony charges.
