One person dead after crash with CSX train in Marion County, FHP says

MARION COUNTY, Fla. - Florida Highway Patrol officials responded to a fatal train crash that killed one person in Marion County early Sunday morning.
Reports suggest the incident took place at 1:55 a.m.
According to FHP officials, a CSX train traveling southbound collided with a passenger car at northeast 180th Street just east of US 301 in Citra.
When officials arrived on the scene, one person was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue personnel.
The victim of the crash has not been identified. This is still an active investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
