PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Public Schools Board has scheduled an emergency meeting so the district's newly hired superintendent can answer plagiarism concerns raised by media reports.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette first reported that Anthony Hamlet appears to have used a line from a Washington Post editorial when describing his educational philosophy on his resume and a definition lifted from an online dictionary to describe his qualifications as a "transformational leader."
Hamlet hasn't commented on the latest allegations.
But earlier this week, he called a news conference to address other media reports that his resume exaggerated his success in turning around troubled schools in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Friday's closed-door meeting will give the board a chance to ask Hamlet about the plagiarism allegations.
He's scheduled to begin his new $210,000-a-year job July 1.
