Family discovers human bones behind Daytona Beach restaurant

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The Daytona Beach Police department is investigating after a family discovered what appeared to be human bones behind a restaurant while they were waiting for a table.
According to a police report, the family said they were on the wait list at the Cheddar's restaurant on International Speedway Blvd. Friday night when they decided to kill some time and look for frogs and turtles in a nearby grassy area. That's when, police say, the family came across the bones.
The remains were removed by a medical examiner to try and determine the person's identity.
The investigation is ongoing.
