A Daytona Beach police officer has been fired after testing positive for cocaine.  Daytona Beach Chief Mike Chitwood said Thursday that Bobbie Jo Soloman was fired Wednesday from the department.  Solomon served for nearly 19 years with the agency.

Solomon is not the first Daytona Beach police officer to be fired this month.  Joseph Sellix was terminated following an investigation into comments he made to two Daytona State College students. Sellix was a sergeant and eight-year veteran of the force.
